Meet Casey Larkin

Charles “Casey” Larkin believes that good local government starts with listening, transparency, and a commitment to doing what’s right for the entire community.

As a member of the Middlebury Board of Finance, Casey brings a practical, balanced approach to decision-making focused on protecting taxpayers while planning responsibly for the town’s future.

Experience & Background

Casey has built his career at the intersection of policy and public service. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University and went on to work in the Connecticut General Assembly.

There, he served as Clerk for both the Commerce Committee and the Environment Committee, gaining firsthand experience in how legislation is developed, debated, and implemented. This work gave him a strong understanding of how decisions at every level of government affect local communities like Middlebury.

Casey has deep ties to Middlebury and a strong appreciation for what makes the town special, from its natural spaces and trails to its close-knit neighborhoods and community spirit.

That connection drives his commitment to protecting Middlebury’s character while ensuring the town continues to move forward in a thoughtful, responsible way.

Approach to Leadership

Casey approaches public service with a focus on fairness, transparency, and respect for different perspectives. He believes that town government works best when decisions are made openly, residents are heard, and leaders take the time to ask the right questions before moving forward.
